About
Hello there and welcome to my website. If you have happened along this page, I guess that means that you would like to know some more information about me… so here ya go!
I currently work for a large, non-profit organization as a web designer. I have been doing so for a little over 5 years now. I first got into web design at the age of 19 and have been having at it ever since.
I am pretty proficient in most front-end technologies: XHTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery please!), Flash (with a little bit of actionscript) and of course-wordpress integration.
I have had the opportunity to work on quite a few unique projects over the years: everything from special one-page custom advertisements to large, full-blown cms driven websites.
My specialty lies in making sites that are both visually appealing and very easy to use for almost every type of web user.
One of my true joys in working with the web is all of the possibilities. If you want to make a website about a personal passion of yours, there really isn’t anything stopping you. The web is definitely a place where anyone has a chance to express themselves as they wish. That and the fact that the technologies that we use are always changing, our industry is so fast-paced that you always have to be learning new tools, techniques, technologies and methods if you want to keep up with the industry.
Aside from my day job as a web designer, I also run a blog about web design called the web goods, feel free to check it out. It is where I try to share some things that I learn through trial and error in my daily web dabbling.
Anyways, I hope I didn’t bore you too much… I am also currently available for freelance work as well, so if there is a project that you need done, feel free to email me: beng@bengood.org!
